Tickets for the 2009 Pike Piddlers Storytelling Festival will go on sale at 8 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2 at Rue’s Antiques in Brundidge. The Pike Piddlers Storytelling Festival will feature nationally acclaimed storytellers Donald Davis, Kathryn Tucker Windham, Carmen Deedy and Bil Lepp.

Among the standout acts at a December 23 “Storytelling” event, sponsored by Heeb magazine, was that of sibling comics Eliot and Ilana Glazer, who presented two case studies of their American Jewish grandparents.

The Moscow Ballet presents the 15th anniversary of the holiday classic "Nutcracker" at 3 and 7 p.m. Friday at the Plaza Theatre, 1 Civic Center Plaza in El Paso. Featuring spectacular sets and beautifully costumed Russian dancers, Moscow ballet's "Great Russian Nutcracker" uses whimsical and imaginative storytelling blended with the richness of Russian classical dance.
